Anxiety is on the rise as modern life continues to challenge our minds and bodies in new ways. I help clients discover the roots of their anxiety through an exploration of their upbringing, traumatic events, and difficult experiences. Education about how anxiety works, as well as learning coping skills to mitigate symptoms are integral to how I approach anxiety. These coping skills usually begin with addressing anxiety in the body and then extend into investigating thoughts and beliefs that are linked to anxiety symptoms. Finally, using Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy, the gold standard of anxiety treatment, is used to produce long-lasting change.
